Obituary of Patricia A Fleming

Patricia "Pat" Ann Fleming (née Eppley), age 81, of Stow, formerly of Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away on Monday, October 26th, 2015 after an eleven year battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1981 Graham Road, Stow, OH 44224. Pastor Laurel Bobb officiating. Born in Zanesville, OH on March 17, 1934 the fourth of five children of Delmar and Letha Eppley, she graduated from Zanesville High School in 1952. Pat was married to Robert "Bob" Eugene Fleming for 60 years. They were married on December 26, 1954 in Zanesville, OH and in 1973 moved their family to St. Clairsville, OH. In 1978 they relocated to Stow, OH, living there until their retirement to Myrtle Beach, SC in 1993. Pat and Bob recently moved back to Stow in 2013 due to health concerns. Pat worked as a phone operator for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company for several years upon graduating from high school. She then became a full-time homemaker after giving birth to her first child in 1956. Pat enjoyed golf, crafting, floral arranging, beading, and sewing, which she actively pursued throughout her life. Pat was an accomplished seamstress, designing dance costumes and clothing for her children throughout their childhood years. She was also actively involved in her church, Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church, in Murrells Inlet, SC for the past twenty years, where she consistently volunteered and assisted with wedding event planning for her church. Pat is survived by her spouse, Robert "Bob" Fleming of Stow; her children, Rhonda (Nick) Latkovic of Palm Desert, CA ; Robin (Kurt) Houk of Stow; Robert (Lisa) Fleming of Bridgeville, PA ; her grandchildren, Sarah (Wesley) Kauffman of Anchorage, AK ; Kevin, Kyle, and Samantha Houk of Stow; Ryan, Caroline, Luke, and Ashley of Bridgeville, PA ; her sister Faye Arnold of Old Bridge, NJ ; her brother Lee Eppley of Zanesville; her brother and sister in-laws, George and Jackie Fleming of East Fultonham, OH and Richard and Glenna Fleming of Zanesville; and many nieces and nephews. Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Delmar and Letha Eppley and her brothers Dale and Kenneth Eppley. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given in Patricia's name to Resurrection Lutheran Church, 1981 Graham Road, Stow, OH 44224 or Shepherd of the Sea Lutheran Church, P.O.
