Obituary of Edmund F. Bajenski

Edmund Francis Bajenski, 58, of Kent, OH, passed away on November 2, 2015 in Akron, Ohio. Ed was born in Akron, Ohio to Edmund and Patricia Bajenski on May 24, 1957. He graduated from Nordonia High School, Northfield, Ohio in 1975. After many years of applying his knowledge of how things work and quality control for several companies in several industries around the country, he returned to Akron to work at BAJ Enterprises, founded by his father. He soon became owner and manager of the company and continued its operations to the present. When not "out in the shop" or working with customers, Ed loved to fly fish and coach his childrens' sporting events. He greatly enjoyed umpiring high school baseball and dealing with the bane of all outdoor sports, the weather. Ed was well known among family and friends for his local weather forecasts. Ed is survived by his wife, Joy (Armstrong) Bajenski of Kent, Ohio; sons, Brian (Andrea), Matthew and Nicholas (Annabelle) Bajenski; and daughter Carrie Bajenski; grandchild, Brooke Bajenski; brother, Richard (Patricia) Bajenski; and sisters Jeanni Bajenski, Tuni (Merrie) Hensler (Chris), Kathryn Gruber, Carol Bohatch (Rob), and Anna Hanlin; brothers-in-law, Johnny and Jeff Armstrong; nephew, Malcolm Gruber and nieces, Madeline Gruber and Emily and Katie Bohatch. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Patricia Bajenski. Pastor Keith Johnson of Reedemer Lutheran Church will conduct a memorial service on Thursday at 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home where friends may call from 5 PM until service time. Memorial donations may be made to Hoban High School Athletic Dept. in memory of Ed Bajenski, 1 Holy Cross Way, Akron, Ohio 44306 or The American Cancer Society.
