Obituary of Effie Easton

STOW – Effie Reitsma Easton went home to be with the Lord on November 5, 2015. She was born in Wilmont, MN and lived in South Dakota, Illinois, New York and 12 years in the Lafayette, Indiana area and moved to Ohio in August 1956. She was the beloved wife of the late LeRoy H. Easton and was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Minnie Reitsma; two brothers, Tom and Henry Reitsma and sisters Anna Delaney and Margaret Wilder. Survivors are her daughter Darlene Easton and son Steve (Nancy Olwill) Easton and special grandson Brandon Easton of Stow, and many friends and relatives. She will be remembered as a loving and compassionate person who gave of herself unselfishly to all who knew and loved her. The joy of her life was being a good wife and mother and helping others. She was a member of the Goodyear Heights Presbyterian Church since 1957 and served as a deacon for 20 years. She was active in community affairs and enjoyed traveling, sewing, crafting, reading and bridge. Services and entombment will be held Tuesday 1 PM at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
