Obituary of Gary R. Glatzer
TALLMADGE – Gary R. Glatzer, 60, passed away peacefully December 12, 2015.
Born in Akron, he was a lifetime area resident, had been employed with Bob Bennett Construction and was a past member of UFCW Local 880. Gary was an amazing father and also an avid Cleveland sports fan and outdoorsman, enjoying boating, camping, hunting and fishing. He was also a league bowler, and loved playing euchre and poker.
He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Meri, and their loyal companions Jace and Kassie; son Jayme "J.R." (Angelica) and granddaughter Audri; step-daughter Amy, (Chief Warrant Officer Scott) Menhorn and their children Sophia and Chace; step-son Daniel (Kristen) Enright, Jr. and their son Jack.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 4 to 8 PM, where Pastor Bruce Reese will conduct service Saturday at 11 AM. Burial is at Silver Springs Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stewart’s Caring Place, 2955 West Market Street, Suite R, Akron, Ohio 44333 or to the family's Gofundme page found on Gary, Meri or Jay's Facebook pages.
