Obituary of Gerald W. Busby
STOW- Gerald W. Busby (Jerry), 82, passed away January 22, 2016.
Born in Akron, he had lived in Stow since 1959, was a US Army veteran and had retired as a 6th grade teacher from Highland Elementary School in 1990. Jerry was a longtime member of Stow Community Church, where he served as Choir Master and utilized his cooking skills for many occasions and events. It was an honor for him to share his many gifts and talents with others. In all that he did, Jerry was a true and faithful man and never gave less than his all.
Preceded in death by parents Samuel and Ruth Busby, brother Richard (Jane) and son-in-law Rick Rodriguez, he is survived by his wife of 59 years, Walda; daughters Melissa (Joe) Saloiye and Stephanie Rodriguez; grandchildren Hannah Saloiye, Samuel and Jonathan Rodriguez and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry’s family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Waleed Nemer for his continuous care through the years and to Crossroads Hospice for their exceptional care.
Pastor Jim Case will conduct a funeral service Tuesday 11 AM at Stow Community Church, 1567 Pilgrim Dr., Stow, where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Stow Community United Church of Christ or Crossroads Hospice.
