Ronald Charles Foster
Ronald C. Foster, 75 years old, died onJanuary29, 2016 after a courageous 6 1/2 year battle with Parkinson's Disease.
He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 2, 1940. He was the son of the late Robert M. Foster and the late Margaret Foster Hein. He was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Foster, and sisters, Elizabeth Bach, and Jean Planic.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marsha, his sister Elaine of Glassport, PA and sons Ronald, Jr. of Sutter Creek, CA and Gregory of Austin, TX. He is also survived by step daughters, Lori (Jeff) Bonk of Uniontown, Oh, Amy (Rodd) Reinhart of Dublin, Oh and Nikki (John) Letterhos of Fort Mill, SC. He leaves behind seven grandchildren whom he loved very much, Kayla and Karly Keller, David and Robyn Reinhart, and Leah, Chloe and Luke Letterhos.
He graduated from Allegheny High School in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Pharmacy School. He was a pharmacist for White Cross Stores, Revco Drug Stores, Tops Market and CVS throughout his career.
Ron was known for his wonderful cooking and baking skills. His grandchildren would make requests of him when they were coming for dinner. At the top of the list were his potato pizza and homemade bread and rolls. He also loved woodworking and made many furniture pieces.
Ron's wife would like to thank their family and friends for their continued support throughout her husband's illness. A special thank you goes out to Ron's sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Susan and Paul Piontkowski, for their love and support throughout this time.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at the Gardens of Western Reserve in Streetsboro and the staff from Crossroads Hospice for their excellent care of Ron during his illness.
Per Ron's request, cremation has taken place. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gardens of Western Reserve at 9975 Greentree Pkwy, Streetsboro, OH 44241 or Crossroads Hospice at 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr, Ste E, Green, OH 44685.
