Obituary of Barcy A. Koerner

KENT -- Barcy A. Koerner, 71, died and went to be with Jesus, her precious Savior, on Feb. 8, 2016. Born in Newark, OH, she was a longtime Stow/Kent resident, and retired from the Stow Schools as a bus driver. Barcy was a member of The Chapel, where she sang for many years in the choir. “Lala” to her grandkids, she treasured spending time with family on Sanibel Island, enjoying the Lord’s beautiful creation. Preceded in death by her husband Arthur in 2003, her daughter Melissa, parents Harold and Katherine Loudin, brother David Loudin, and sister Marian Wingard. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Catherine of Friendswood, TX, and their children, Rachel and Arthur; daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Karl Wodrich of Cuyahoga Falls and their children, Joshua, Jacob, and Stephanie; Amy and Jason Kolb of Kent and their children Daniel, Luke, Noah and Grace; sisters Katherine Clark and Virginia Sandy, and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday 5 to 8 PM at Redmon Funeral Home. Pastor Doug Clark will conduct services Friday, 10 AM in Memorial Chapel at The Chapel, 135 Fir Hill, Akron 44304. Burial at Standing Rock Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to The Chapel.
