Dear Dauchy Family: We offer our most sincere condolences on Bob's passing. Time has a way of moving oh so quickly, catching us unaware of passing years. Although great distances separated the many decades I remember Bob as my early best friend. Many stories to tell about just being kids. Running around the old Erie Canal locks & Quaker Oats silo rail yards downtown Akron, hitching a ride with his parents going to their locksmith business. Fall, 1957, 8th grade, BolichJH, CFO, football players, living five blocks apart. Bob invites me to a party at his house, but only if I'd bring my portable single 45 rpm record player! He introduced me a beautiful girl living just a block away from him, both were in the same home room. Bob sure helped me then as that lovely girl and I will be married 51 years this June. Thanks, Bob. We were so impressed reading of Bob's achievements, accolades, acknowledgements, an entire life experience dedicated to helping others, always helping others. They say "it's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life a person lived." The way Bob must have lived his life surely was a gift to those who came after. He was the man!

Dear Susie, DD and Andy...My heart goes out to your family. Wish I could be there and hug each and everyone one of you. I have so many found memories growing up with your family - Bob's laughter and grin, giving Janine the nickname NeeNee just to name a few. The world has lost a great person. So tonight at 7pm I will raise a glass of Penfold's Grandfather in his honor, assuming you'll still drink port.
Remembering his wonderful and gentle soul will forever remain in my heart. May he rest in peace! Jacquie

Dear Susie,
I am sorry for your loss. Bob was a great friend over the years from our high school years together through adulthood. I will always cherish the memory of him being the "Balloon Launcher" during one of the Right to Read activities when I was a principal at Fishcreek Elementary School. He was the first to let go of his balloon and was so excited about pointing out his balloon to the students as it disappeared into the blue sky. His enthusiasm then was evident throughout his life. His laugh was so infectious. He told me on several occasions how blessed he was to be married to you. He loved his family so very, very much. May the memories of his smile and laughter fill your heart in the days ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your sons at this time and always.
Peace and grace be unto you,
Myron "Butch" Gray

Dear Family,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. May you feel the comfort of God during this time of grief. Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials. At 1 Corinthians 15:26 we learn that the last enemy death will be brought to nothing. Until then, may the comfort from this scripture along with your good memories of Robert bring you comfort.
Warmest sympathy,
Dave
