Obituary of Arthur C. Baughard

STOW – Arthur C. Baughard, 92, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Born January 8, 1924 in Appalachia, VA, he was a resident of Stow since 1966 and a member of Stow Presbyterian Church for over 40 years, where he served as a deacon, elder and as chairman of the Building Fund Committee. In 1986, after 35 years of service, he retired as an account executive from General Mills. Art was a US Navy veteran of World War II and member of Stow Lodge 768 F & AM, 32nd Degree Scottish Rite - Valley of Cleveland, and Tadmor Temple Shrine. Preceded in death by his wife Marjorie, his parents Bruce and Oma (Lister) Baughard and his brothers Harold and Clifford, he is survived by daughters, Jancie (Bill) Newhouse of Silver Lake, Becky (Mike) Cianciola of Akron; son Bruce Baughard of Pinehurst, NC; granddaughters, Emily Dillingham, Courtney and Chelsey Baughard; great-granddaughter Avery Dillingham; step-grandchildren Christina and Joey; many precious cousins and very very special friend Peggy June. The family wishes to thank Hospice of VNS for the very special care they gave to Art. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday 5 to 8 PM, and where Stow Lodge 768 F & AM will conduct Masonic service at 4:45. Dr. David Weyrick will conduct funeral service Thursday 11 AM at Stow Presbyterian Church, 4150 Fishcreek Road, Stow 44224. Burial Stow Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Navy. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Stow Presbyterian Church or Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron 44333.
