Obituary of Kenneth V. Keen

CUYAHOGA FALLS – Kenneth Vern Keen, born February 27, 1937 the 13th child of Willie and Louise Breeding Keen in Davenport, VA, went home to be with the Lord on April 5, 2016. Mr. Keen was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls for 52 years, a US Army veteran and had retired from Ford Motor Co. - Walton Hills after 38 years of service. He was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church and Charles Faust American Legion Post 281 in Cuyahoga Falls. Preceded in death by parents Willie and Louise, sisters Oakley, Ollie, Ella, Edna, and Sharlene and by brothers Arvile, Ira, Luther, Trigg and David, he is survived by wife of 56 years Euyvonne Hess Keen; daughter Pennie (Brock) Gloeckner; son Mark (David Shodeen) Keen; granddaughter Amanda Dixon; grandson James (Elizabeth) Appel; four great-granddaughters Kenlynn, Kylee, Lily and Madelyn; sisters Marie Eck and Jeneva Presley; brother Kyle (Peggy) Keen and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 6 to 9 PM, where Rev. Russell Varner and Rev. Edward Tiller will conduct service Saturday 1 PM. Burial Oakwood Cemetery with military honors provided by Charles Faust American Legion Post 281. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
