Obituary of George J. Frankino

George J. Frankino, 72, Born April 9, 1944, died April 9, 2016 following a heroic 13 year battle with a disease of the brainstem. Born in Cleveland, he was a lifetime area resident, lived in Stow for 30 years and was a US Army Vietnam veteran. He spent the first half of his career as Vice President of Cleveland Tux, the areas foremost formalwear company. He went on to own Canterbury Clothiers in Fairlawn, was a member of Hudson Rotary, Holy Family Catholic Church and was a Knight of the 4th Degree (Knights of Columbus). Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Julia Frankino, he is survived by his wife of 36 years, Laurie (Alberty); daughter Jennifer; brothers Frank (Pam), Joe (Maureen) and Jim (Marcia). Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, Stow, for visitation Wednesday 4 to 8 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial Thursday 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Father Mike Ausperk celebrant. Burial Markillie Cemetery with military honors provided by the US Army. Memorials may be made to The Hospice Unit of Summa Hospital, Rotary Club of Hudson or DAV -Disabled American Vets.
