Rose aka Rosie resided in the same neighborhood as my parents Bob and Betty Newman. Our families grew up together we have many fond memories of the Herdina family.
Rose and I became close friends soon after she moved into her parent’s home. Some of my fondest memories of Rose were when we started lifting weights together at my dad’s gym. Thoughts are we laughed and talked more than we lifted weights those were good times. I loved to visit Rose at her home drink tea, listen to her stories about her family, her newest vitamin discovery, and her concerns about the stray cat across the street.
If you had the pleasure of knowing Rose Donatell, her laughter and smile were contagious, she loved her family, was kind and caring, energetic, and no matter what was happening in her life she would always stop and give you her full attention and her time. I miss her dearly!
Deepest Regrets,
Mrs. Sue “Newman” McPherson

"And what is as important as knowledge?" asked the mind..."Caring and seeing with the heart." answered the soul.
Rosemary saw all of life and people with her heart..A very special person...who touched my life in gentle soothing ways.
Peace, Love and God Bless

Rose,
So much of us came from our Polish mother
Colors of bright red and happy exuberance
And thorns when one got too close or clumsy
The lineage of DNA from mother to daughter
Happy music, creativity, loving self-sacrifice
Her unwritten poems on lips of her children
There is beauty in the melodies of Obereks
Spinning with joy to the dance of life
Till exhausted and time to go home.
-Raymond Herdina

Rosemary was a very kind and generous lady. I enrolled in her art classes whenever she taught her classes. She made her classes fun and took the entire class to the The Museum of Art in Cleveland. Ed, I worked at KSU stadium in the football office and you took me out for Secretaries Day for lunch. I know it must have been that you were so kind and I am sure she was proud of you and all her children. God Bless Her!

Our deepest sympathies to all Rosemary's family members. I've known Rose for about ten years, and she was like a second mom to me, especially after my mom passed away several years ago. She was like a ray of sunshine - always bright and cheerful and she knew how to bring people together. She was an amazing mentor, guide, teacher, and friend, and I miss her dearly. She would share stories with me about how proud she was of her children - she deeply loved her family. How blessed we all have been to have had her in our lives. From all of here at Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary - you are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I met Rosie at the Barberton YMCA in June of last year. She was my warm water aerobics instructor. Though I didn't know Rosie very long, I found her to be a kind, loving, caring person. She had a way of making everyone feel special.
Just before Christmas, she encouraged me to have a book of a special memory made for my family. That book meant so much to me and I was looking forward to showing it to Rosemary when I heard she was planning to return to the Y.
My condolences to her family and friends. She was a great lady who will be missed by everyone who had the peasure of knowing her.
Sincerely, Linda

Rosie was the best! She was so much fun! I still tell the story about sewing her to the couch! I have many memories of hikes in the woods, getting there in her corvair without floorboards. My sympathies to the Donatell & Herdina families

Our heartfelt condolences to the Donatell family especially to Gene and Jill; Lindsey, Zan, and Zia; Lauren, Joe, and Tyler; and Geno. We only had the opportunity to meet Ms. Rose on a couple of occasions and each time she proved to be a really zany, funny lady...now she and Ginny can rain havoc..
In sympathy,

Our friendship was new, but I got to experience the essence of Rose.
Our lives touched for a purpose, and that purpose now remains as a gift in many ways.

So Sorry to hear about grandma Rosie. Every time I have ever met Rosie she was a hoot. She was always smiling and having a good time. My grandson (her great grandson) always talked about his grandma Rosie and how much he enjoy going to visit her. I know she will be greatly missed. May you R.I.P. Grandma Rosie.
Deepest regrets,
The Wesseler Family
