Obituary of Robert Lynn Williamson
Robert (Bob) Williamson, 84, resident of Memphis, TN and previous resident of Stow, OH, passed away May 6, 2016.
Bob leaves his loving wife of nearly 58 years, Helen; children, Matt, Becky, Shely and Hallie (Hugh); grandchildren, Joseph, Jeremy and Jaclyn Goodwin; granddogs, Latte and Tiramisu; many cousins and countless friends.
A graduate of Kent State University, Bob served in the U.S. Navy as Storekeeper Third Class, then held logistics management positions for Montgomery Ward, Ben Franklin and Hunter Fan. Bob was a collector of transportation memorabilia, a fan of the Memphis Grizzlies and University of Memphis Tigers basketball, a lover of classic automobiles and a master of residential Christmas décor.
Visitation will be held at Redmon Funeral Home on Thursday, May 12 from 11:00 am to 12:45 pm, with a 1:00 pm service at First Christian Church of Stow immediately following. Burial will be at Stow Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.
