Obituary of Anne M. Rothacker

STOW- Anne M. Rothacker, 89, passed away June 6, 2016. Born in Cleveland on December 14, 1926, she had lived in Stow since 1967 and retired from the Stow- Munroe Falls School District in 1990, having served as secretary for five consecutive superintendents. Anne was a member of Holy Family Church in Stow since 1967, where she taught PSR in earlier years and served with the Funeral Meal Ministry more recently . She was a member of Stow Sunshiners, holding various positions from 1991 until 2012. Anne enjoyed family, travel, crossword puzzles, fishing and staying at her family's summer home on Catawba Island. She is survived by Rollin, her loving husband of 69 years; daughters Diane (Bernard) Rubal of Universal City, TX, Christine (George) Nelson of Stow, Linda (Thomas) Schiavone of Garfield Hts., and Carol (John) Kugler of Stow; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Rosemary (William) Hausmesser of Medina and sister Barbara (Joseph) Alger of Copley. Anne was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Anna Simko (nee Vranay) and her brother Andrew Simko Jr. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday 4 to 8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial Friday 10 AM at Holy Family Church, Fr. Mike Ausperk celebrant. Interment All Saints Cemetery in Northfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Church.
