Hi Marla. My prayers go out to you and your family during your time of bereavement. I didn't know Jason personally, but it sure feels like I did. I was introduced to an amazing and spiritual man through all the emails that were forwarded to my mom by my sister-in-law (Jackie Booth). His smile appeared to light up a room. God will comfort and keep you. There are no sorrows that heaven can't heal. God Bless. Jackie Thompson

To Jason's family,
I was so shocked by Jason's passing. I was Jason's 7th grade English teacher at McCord Junior High. I remember him so well with that great disposition and great smile. He was in 6th period and usually after lunch you get a case of the slow and tired. With Jason in my class with his buddy, Matt Geha, they made that class so much fun. I'm so proud of him, despite his very short life. I'm sure he passed his great qualities onto his 3 sons. God Bless! Kathy (Griffith) Peace

May the Father of Mercy and the God of all comfort, comfort and strengthen you and your family during your time of grief and sorrow. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. I never met Jason but because of all the emails I received from my daughter in-law Jackie Booth with Jason's smiling face and all the prayers that my church and I prayed for him and his family I felt as though I knew him. My heart felt prayers goes out for Marla and the family.
Please read 1 Thessalonians 4: 13 - 18 and may you find comfort knowing that Jason is now with his Lord in heaven where there is no pain, sickness or sorrow, only love, peace and joy.

Marla, no words can express our deepest sympathy for you and the boys. Our hearts are broken & saddened of the loss of a great friend and brother in Christ. We continue to pray for you all for that peace that passes all understanding as our Savior holds you all in the grip of His Amazing Grace. Jason was a man among men. He led by example and fulfilled his passion by serving his Savior, his family, and others. He definitely fulfilled his passion. What a great example he set. I've been blessed by having a friend in Jason and blessed in having a friend in the Jenks. Hold on to the truth that one day those tears will all be wiped away. As always, love them Jenks!

Sports are said to build character. The fact is that sports reveal character. I recall the first time that I met Jason Jenks. We met on Northview’s football field in 8th grade in the final game of the season. Before the game I didn't known Jason. After the game I was well aware of who he was. He competed every single play and was as tough of a competitor as I’ve ever known. To say he earned my respect that day is an understatement. In high school Jason was the captain of our football team. He was an outstanding leader. There was never any question that he was going to give his best effort on every play. He was well liked and well respected. He was a “character” guy, an outstanding leader, and a guy that you wanted on your side. He didn’t care to lose on the field. He was a winner! He demonstrated sportsmanship, treated others fairly and always led by example. Jason’s character was impeccable. I’m certain that he was the same type of husband and father. Jason Jenks was a rare and special person. When I heard that Jason was sick, I had very little doubt that he would prevail, God had other plans. My heart hurt for his family . The world was a better place with Jason. He will be missed by those who knew him! God bless and comfort Marla, Cooper, Mason and Parker!

I will always remember Jason's fighting spirit. He was a great inspiration to me and to many others he didn't even know. So many people became connected to him as fought, through the prayers they lifted up in his name. But he was called home. To us it may seem too soon. But he won't be forgotten. And I think I'll think about life's day to day and appreciate the little things just a bit more because of the way he touched my life.
God bless you, Jason. I'm proud to have known you.

I remember Jason he was kind hearted to me at a point in my life when I was struggling and in pain after losing my mother. He didn't submit to the group. He was a good person! And his wife is also an amazing woman! I haven't seen you all for 25 years give or take, but am truly hurting inside for your family! I am praying for your family! And I did see his selfless video to get people tested to help out others! I continue to be impressed with his Grace!
God bless you

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jason and his Family and Friends. Growing up knowing Jason was such an honor and joy and my Dad Don (Smokey) Anderson loved coaching him on the Highland Indians and always talked about not only the athlete he was but also what a great young Man he was. To know Jason is to love him and that smile he always wore just said it all. We are so very sorry of your loss but know he is in a better place smiling that smile down on everyone.
