UNIONTOWN – Dawnita A. Claes, 70, died July 17, 2016. Born in Akron, she never met a stranger. Dawnita would meet you for the first time and within the first 30 seconds, she would know your whole life story. She had a heart bigger than you can imagine and would do anything for anyone. She really enjoyed life. Dawnita's favorite things to do were shopping, lunch with friends, and making crafts for all her friends. She loved spending time with her family, especially all her grandkids. Her zest for life, huge heart, and love for her family will be tremendously missed. Preceded in death by her parents William and Rita Morris and by brothers James V. Morris and William A. Morris, Jr., she is survived by her husband of 20 years, John; daughters Bobbie McGee-DiPede (Robert DiPede), Jodi Der Vargo; step-son Jeff Claes and step-daughter Michelle (Dave) Rydzik; grandchildren Laycee Claes, Sophia Vargo, Ashley and Ryan Rydzik, Scarlett and Greyson DiPede; sister Dianne Cook and numerous nieces and nephews. Hospice of Summa Chaplain Doug Gregory will conduct service Wednesday 1 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 11 AM until service time. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main Street, PO Box 2090, Akron 44398-6153.
