Obituary of Charles S. Jarvis

Charles Spurgeon “Bud” Jarvis, Jr., 79, of Stow, Ohio, passed away on September 29, 2016. Charles was born in Strangecreek, West Virginia to Ruie B. (Triplett) and Charles S. Jarvis Sr. on December 31, 1936. He went to high school at Summersville and graduated in 1954. He worked as a Metal Finisher and Bailer Operator for Ford Motor Company for 49.5 years. He enjoyed his Ford trucks, hunting, camping, vacationing, and farming. He received a number of achievement awards from Ford Motor Company and was a devout member of the NRA and UAW Local 420. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Nancy C. Peercy-Jarvis of Stow; children, David A. Jarvis, Lesa S. Jarvis; grandchildren, Christopher, Ashely, Heather, Josh, and Jackson; sisters-in-law, Jacky Keener, Betty Peercy, Mary (Esteen) Jarvis, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruie; brothers, Russel and Eugene; sisters, Nora, Ethel, Martha, and Betty, all of which he loved dearly. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Altercare of Western Reserve and Harbor Light Hospice Care for their care and support during his final hours. Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home where calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 4 to 6 pm. Funeral service will be Monday, October 3, at 11 am with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 2580 Romig Road Akron, OH 44320. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
