Obituary of Eleanor A. Griffith
STOW – Eleanor Griffith born August 10, 1921 in Warren, OH peacefully died on October 2, 2016.
She had worked at Sunlight Electrical Manufacturing and married Edison “Bud” Griffith. Together they raised two children Frances “Fran” and Thomas “Tom” modeling responsibility and love. Eleanor was a legendary maker of spaghetti and meatballs, stuffed cabbage, and beef and vegetable soup.
She is survived by daughter Fran Griffith (formerly Fran Lawrence), and her children, David Lawrence and Bethany Lawrence; son Tom Griffith and his wife Junko Austin and their children, Angela and Nathan. Eleanor’s great-grandchildren through Angela and John Petkovic are Juliette and Jake Petkovic.
Father Patrick Anderson will conduct service Saturday 1:00 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends are invited for visitation from 12 noon until service time. Interment Silver Springs Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org or Kindred Hospice, 33610 Solon Road #3, Solon, OH 44139.
