Obituary of Alice Marie Grogan
Alice M. Grogan, 89, of Aurora, OH, formerly of Bethel Park, PA, entered into God’s glory on October 22, 2016. She was born in Pittsburgh on July 28, 1927 and was a Pittsburgh area resident until moving to Aurora last year.
Recently preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Thomas J. Grogan, and also preceded by her parents, Ernest and Marie Sieber, and her brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Louetta Sieber, she is survived by her children, Thomas E. Grogan (Suzanne), Sue Grogan-Johnson (Dallas), and Mark Grogan (Mary Ann); grandson, Brian Grogan (Amy); great-granddaughters, Abigail, Sophia, and Phoebe Grogan; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Alice was a talented seamstress, doting mother, dedicated homemaker, and a faithful member of Bethel Presbyterian Church for over 55 years, where she volunteered in many areas of service, including SHIM, PW and the Quilter’s Circle, and gave of her talents to enrich the lives and build up the faith of others.
A memorial service will be held at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2999 Bethel Church Road, Bethel Park, PA, on Friday, October 28, at 3 o’clock p.m., with Rev. Cathie Smith officiating. The family will welcome friends immediately following the service in Galbraith Hall, where a luncheon will be served. A private graveside interment service will follow.
