Obituary of Peter H. Keslar
Peter Keslar peacefully went home to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 21, 2016 in his own home surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born in 1924, he lived his entire life in Akron Ohio. He served four years in the US Marines, and was employed by The Albrecht Grocery Co. for over 40 years. He was married to Billee for 68 years and together they had four children, Kathryn (Jeff) Christensen, Kristine (Kerry) Kraker, Craig (Linda) Keslar, and Kevin (Elizabeth) Keslar, along with eleven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Pete and his family have been active members of The Chapel in Akron for over 45 years; additionally Pete & Billee served faithfully in Gideon’s International, and were also involved in the founding of the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy.
There will be a celebration service at The Chapel in Akron, 135 Fir Hill, Akron, OH, on Saturday, Dec 3 at 2:00 in the Main Sanctuary with Pastor Bob Schneider officiating. An open reception will be held at The Chapel after the service where the family can be greeted.
