Obituary of Anthony Mark Doskocil

ANTHONY MARK DOSKOCIL Tony joined his parents - Anthony and Lillian (Pouska) and sister, Carol, in Heaven on Thanksgiving morning after a long illness. He leaves behind sisters Joyce (Al) Amtsberg, and Jane (Stephen) Fridrick; wife of 42 years, Lynn (Breckenridge); children: Jay (Jen), Adam (Brenda), and Jillian; and granddaughters: Bailey and Lola. He was an uncle to Jim, Michael, John, Tracy, Ann, Blaine, and Rachel, and a friend to many. Tony was a 1965 graduate Valley Forge High School, Parma Hts. He earned a BA in Speech Education from Cleveland State, BS in Special Education from Bowling Green State, and MEd in Special Education Admini- stration from Kent State. After teaching high school, he was hired to develop a Work Evaluation Program that served students on IEPs at six area schools. He served from 1979 to 2014. He also held various leadership positions in state-wide Work Evaluation education organizations. Tony enjoyed coaching football and baseball at area schools for many years and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Eugene Catholic Parish. In addition to coaching, he liked spending time with his family, and having breakfast with his buddies. Calling hours are Sunday, Nov. 27th from 1 to 4 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd., Stow 44224. Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 am on Monday, Nov. 28th at St. Eugene Catholic Parish, 1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls 44221, Fr. Neil Crosby celebrant. In lieu of flowers, consider donations to the baseball program at Western Reserve Academy, 115 College St., Hudson, 44236.
