Obituary of Robert J. Willoughby
MUNROE FALLS – Robert J. Willoughby, 63 passed away suddenly in his home on December 3, 2016.
Bob was the best and hardest working man many had ever known. He was President of ACS Industries in Kent, a fabricator of ground engaging equipment. His entire career was in the steel business.
As important to him was his years coaching young men. He started coaching at a very young age and coached at Kenmore High School in the 70’s and 80’s. He was delighted to coach his young son in both football and baseball in Stow. Bob was also thrilled to coach his great-nephew recently in peewee football.
Bob was President of Silver Valley condos and he tirelessly worked to improve the community.
Bob is survived by his wife of 34 years, Diane, and his beloved son, Bobby. He is also survived by his mother Betty Willoughby, siblings; Sharon Smith, Bill Willoughby, Janice (Jim) McCrady, Joe (Joni) Willoughby, mother-in-law Ruby Dete, sister-in-law Michele Renner, brother-in-law Rick Dete, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Willoughby. He also leaves behind his best friends and golfing partners, John, Tim and Jay.
Bob, I am so sorry you didn’t get to enjoy the retirement we had planned. Rest in peace, my darling. You will be so, so missed.
