Obituary of Leslie Ann Wagner

Our most beautiful, energetic, brilliant star Leslie Ann, died of sudden cardiac arrest. Leslie entered Heaven peacefully in her sleep just days after her 50th birthday.Leslie was the ultimate encourager of the heart. Her contagious positive zest for life, love of our Lord and Savior, compassion for all souls (especially animals), sense of humor, appreciation and value of diversity, daily words of encouragement, ability to achieve the impossible with flair, listening ear, thoughtful advice, sensitive and caring outreach for those who are hurting, and hugs for nearly everyone she met resulted in unmatched sparkle.Leslie graduated from Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and Hammel College. Leslie began her career at The University of Akron (UA) in 1985 where she served in administrative assistant capacities in Athletics, Educational Foundations, and Provost's Office. She studied real estate at UA, passed her license exam, and began her realtor career in 1995 selling millions in real estate until 2009. In 2009, Leslie returned to UA at University College Dean's Office as administrative support and was later placed in the perfect setting of running ZipAssist Information Desk in Simmons Hall. Her welcoming approach and help to all who entered continued to boost Leslie's already large fan club membership. Leslie departed UA in Spring 2015 to join her extended family at Keller Williams Chervenic Realty (KWCR) where she served as Assistant Team Leader. She recruited, trained, and mentored new agents. So many agents who worked with Leslie 20 years ago or in recent years credit her with helping them start their successful careers. In addition to family and friends, Leslie's agents, clients, students, and colleagues adored her. She was a problem solver and had the ability to cut through complex issues to logically and peacefully resolve. Leslie made people feel better about themselves and their respective situations. Like her Grandmother, she pointed to the positives in every challenge. Leslie's humor and common sense approach to treating people better than they would expect to be treated touched countless hearts. Leslie loved her peeps at KWCR, Akron Zips, Zippy, and had a beautiful, maternal heart for our students.Leslie is survived by her fan club president and best friend, sister Lauri Thorpe (Mark Iati). Leslie is also survived by her adopted parents (aunt and uncle), Rev. Gary and Lois Moosey. Leslie's Grandparents in Heaven, (Rev. Albert and Helen Johnson); and cousin, (Kalvin Moosey); are rejoicing in welcoming their Leslie. Other living relatives include parents, (Helen Thorpe, Thomas Thorpe); Uncle, Keith and Aunt Diane Johnson; cousins, David, Kathy, and Lisa and their dear families. Special thanks to Leslie's KWCR family for their widespread love of Leslie.Per Leslie's wishes, there will be no formal funeral. Rather, Leslie desired a private memorial.Leslie would be honored to tears to have donations in her name to Dick Goddard Foundation or Haven of Rest Ministries.Leslie's positive imprint on our lives will forever shine. Until we are reunited and resume our joyful soul train dancing, we love you to Heaven and around the world a million times, precious angel.
