Richard Moledor

Obituary of Richard W. Moledor

Richard W. Moledor, 89, passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on January 18, 2017. Richard had a variety of jobs throughout his life from working on his family farms, long-distance truck driving to mowing the greens at Oak Knolls Golf Course after retiring. Richard took great pride in maintaining his yard and proudly displayed his beautification awards. Richard served in both World War II and Korea as a Marine; he also served as captain of the Marine Corps football team. Anyone driving past his house would see both the American and Marine Corps flags flying from his home. Richard loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor that was evident through the many pranks both given and received. He will be missed by all who loved him. Preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Linda, he is survived by his children, Richard A. (Dalles) Moledor, Vickilyn (Ken) Trego; grandchildren, Bryan (Lori), Ryan (Angie), Gina (Mike), Adam (Amanda); great-grandchildren, Kenedy, Mackenzie, Kade, Madison, Krew, Morgan and an expected great-granddaughter in March; sister, Elaine (Dave) Hogg and many other loving family and friends. Father Paul Rosing will conduct a memorial service at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd., Stow Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2 PM, where friends may call from 12:30 PM until service time.
