I only knew Karen a few years through field hockey but what a beautiful woman inside and out. I knew the moment I met her there was something different about her, and soon found out, she was not only a believer in Christ but a true soldier for him. Her testimony was strong with just the small conversations I had with her about Jesus Christ. She always made everyone feel welcome with her cheerful personality. She truly was a light in a dark world. So sad when I got this news today tears rolled down my eyes in disbelief.I was relieved that she knew Christ and to know she will be rejoicing with the saints now.
Our condolences to all the family. We will be keeping you in prayer. She is now in glory seeing Our Saviour face to face . My heart goes out to you all.
God bless you Eric Tricia and Jessica Lloyd

Dearest friends,
When mom called me here in MA to tell me about Karen's death, I broke out in tears.
There are just too many fond memories of her, Janie (Cali), Carol, and Corrine when we grew up together. We probably spent as much time at each other's house as well as at church, and even though that has been quite a while, I will always remember Karen's big smile! She was such a sweet heart and will be greatly missed...
Love to all!

Dear Bonfiglio Family,
It's been a few years since seeing Karen. We used to swim at LifeCenter on a regular basis. Always talking about family. She was a beautiful person & always had a great smile. I remember us talking about taking a cruise over spring break, and we found out we were going on the same trip! We laughed & did see each other periodically on that ship. My heart breaks for your loss.

LOS HERALDOS NEGROS
Peruvian poet, César Vallejo
Hay golpes en la vida, tan fuertes... ¡Yo no sé!
Golpes como del odio de Dios; como si ante ellos,
la resaca de todo lo sufrido
se empozara en el alma... ¡Yo no sé!
Son pocos; pero son... Abren zanjas oscuras
en el rostro más fiero y en el lomo más fuerte.
Serán tal vez los potros de bárbaros Atilas;
Pobre... ¡pobre! Vuelve los ojos, como
cuando por sobre el hombro nos llama una palmada;
vuelve los ojos locos, y todo lo vivido
se empoza, como charco de culpa, en la mirada.
Hay golpes en la vida, tan fuertes... ¡Yo no sé!

Karen and I were good friends growing up and became even closer in high school. I remember her smile and her uplifting attitude about all of life. I spoke with Karen only a handful of times since graduating in 1978. Each time I was so encouraged to see her love for life, for her family and, most importantl for God. Her love for the Lord was so very obvious, and she had a huge heart for the lost. Though I have not seen Karen recently, my heart aches like we were still in regular contact. She had such a positive, sweet spirit, and I cannot imagine how much she will be missed by her family. My deepest condolences to each of you. Be assured that the Lord hears your cries and will calm your hearts. Take courage...Karen has stepped into eternity and is now in her Savior's presence. And you will be with her one day. I am lifting you up in prayer. "My soul finds rest in God alone. My salvation comes from him. He alone is my Rock and my Salvation. He is my fortress. I will never be shaken." -Psalm 62: 1-2
