Obituary of Chris S. Lenos

STOW – Chris Stase Lenos, 87, passed away on February 27, 2017 in Akron. Chris was born in Mesopotamia, Greece to Steve Lenos and Kiratsa Vasileau on August 15, 1929. He married Angie Vlaho on January 18, 1959 in Kostarazi, Greece. He was a veteran and honorably served in the Greek Army. Chris was a farmer in Greece before moving the family to Stuttgart, Germany where he worked for Mercedes Benz. Chris immigrated to Sandusky, Ohio in 1973 where he worked several jobs before finishing his career with the Perkins Public Schools. He was a proud member of the Greek Orthodox Church in every community he lived including most recently Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Akron. Chris is preceded in death by his son, Steve Lenos; brothers, Paul, Vangele, Vasile; sisters, Anastasia, Mahi, he is survived by his wife of 58 years, Angie; children, Dimitrios (Violeta) Lenos, Anna (Wayne) Prussak, Ed (Jennifer) Lenos, Angelo Lenos; 13 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many other loving family and friends. Father Jerry Hall will conduct funeral service on Friday, March 3rd at 11 AM at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union Street, Akron, 44304, where friends may call from 10 AM until service time. Burial will follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
