Obituary of Joseph P. D'Amico
Joseph P. D’Amico born, Giuseppe Pietro D’Amico, passed away on March 3, 2017 at the age of 92.
Joe was the son of Leontino and Angelina (Antonelli) D’Amico, born June 22, 1924. Joe was the owner of D’Amico Construction Company and Fait Enterprises. He served in the United States Army. Joe was past president of the Jaycees and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Boys Town of Italy, Italian/American Professional Businessmen’s Club, and St. Eugene Catholic Church. Joe was a devout Catholic and believer in God. Joe was avid golfer. Many people would be surprised to know he was an accomplished dancer and drummer. Joe was preceded in death by his wife Gloria, son Joseph M., his sister Rosina Mazzola, and granddaughters Tammy and Annette D’Amico. He is survived by daughters, Janice (Gary) Harrison, Lynette (Duane) Johnson, grandchildren, Curt D’Amico, Steven (Michelle) D’Amico, Aryn (Steven) Bush, Shannon (John) Ogden, Jake (Ashley) Johnson, and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Erwin Maseelall for his devotion, compassion, and friendship. A special thank you to his close friend and business partner, Roxy Quatraro.
Things will never be quite the same. But, whatever you called him, Dad, Daddy, Papa, Grandpa, Giuseppe, or Joe, he has left a multitude of ways to see us through today and our tomorrows. Dad was devoted, dedicated and loyal to his family and friends. His work ethic was phenomenal. He was a man of honor, strength, determination and respect. He was one class act! We love you and thank you for being such an incredible role model to our family. BUONA NOTTE, PAPA.
