Obituary of John C. DePaul

MUNROE FALLS – John (Jack) DePaul, 82, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017. He was born on August 26, 1934 in Akron, Ohio to Thomas and Pearl DePaul. Jack grew up in North Hill, where he attended North High School. He played football and basketball for the North High Vikings until he enlisted in the Air Force, October of 1954. While in the Air Force, Jack made many friends and loved to tell us the amazing stories of his time in England. He received an honorable discharge from the 39200th Air Police in February of 1957. It was not much after that when he met his future bride, Rosemarie Vitrano at the “449”. They were married in October 11, 1958 and were married 57 years. He proudly worked at Prudential Insurance Company, before he retired and worked, “golfed”, at Green Hills Golf Course, a place he loved going to for 27 years. He was the best Pops and the kindest man you’d ever meet. He saw the good in everything and in every person who was lucky enough to have him in their life. He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosemarie DePaul, and leaves behind his son, Vincent DePaul; daughter Vicki (Randy) Brittain; grandsons, who were his sons, Mark (Rachel) Perrin, Christopher Perrin; great-grandchildren, Brady, Brooke and Aeris, who he loved so much, Pat Vitrano, and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 22 from 4 to 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held Thursday 10 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, 3179 Kent Road, Stow 44224.
