Obituary
Obituary of Amy Elizabeth Lovell
1969 was a momentous year – man landing on the moon, Woodstock, the formation of Monty Python, and the Beatles releasing "Abbey Road", to name some minor events. One of the best moments of that momentous year was July 22, with the birth of Amy Elizabeth Lovell in Akron.
Amy, 47, a true warrior, was reunited with her mother, Ellen Lovell, on March 24, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Amy did not lose her battle to cancer, she fought it every day for over almost four years following its recurrence. Amy is now at rest, sitting on a beach, sipping a cold beer (or three), listening to music, and smiling.
Amy’s true calling was as a mother. Her most precious gifts and her proudest accomplishments, Amy is survived by her children, Emily Foster, Ryan Foster (Erin), and her twins Claire Twigg and Ian Twigg. She also loved being an aunt. She leaves to cherish her memory Andrea, Melinda and Jesse, as well as four great nieces/nephews. She will be missed by her father, John and her siblings, Andy, Patty Stieger (Bill), John (Patty), Steve, and Colin, as well as inumberable friends. Amy was employed for many years with Fred’s Diner. The family would like to thank owners, Fred and Debbie Spencer, for their kindness and understanding throughout Amy’s fight. We would most especially like to thank Dr. Jame Abraham and Care Coordinator, Nancy Dalpiaz, for their help and compassion. Essentially told by her original oncologist when the cancer reappeared, to get her affairs in order, Dr. Abraham, Nancy and others at the Cleveland Clinic helped Amy celebrate life for almost four years. To all the other warriors who continue the battle, we ask that you think of Amy who provided invaluable information to help in the cure for breast cancer.
