Obituary of Ralph E. Burris
CUYAHOGA FALLS – Ralph E. Burris, 91, died March 24, 2017.
Born in Akron on February 9, 1926, he was a proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II, receiving two Bronze Stars and two Purple Hearts for his service in Germany. He was also a member of Charles Faust American Legion Post 281 for many years. Ralph retired as Postmaster from the Mogadore Post Office after 40 years of service, having worked his way up from the maintenance department, to carrier, to Postmaster. Ralph was also a longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church. A gentle giant, Ralph was always willing to help anyone. He was an active member of NARFE, (National Active and Retired Federal Employees), serving as a past local and State of Ohio Service Officer, helping widows and widowers complete death and health benefit selections.
Thank you, Ralph for showing us how to treat each other.
