Obituary of Allen J. Thomas
HUDSON - Allen James Thomas, 59, died April 8, 2017.
Born in Garfield Hts., a graduate of Bedford High School and Cleveland State University, he was a Hudson resident for 27 years, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hudson, and had been employed as an accountant with BP, FedEx and currently, First Energy. Allen had been an avid runner, loved gardening, and golfing. In the fall, he could be seen attending high school and college soccer and football games. In his younger days, he played Hudson’s Men’s Recreational Soccer.
Preceded in death by his parents, George and Gertrude, sister Judy and brother Richard, he is survived by his wife of 38 years, Cheryl, (Cherie); son William James (Kathleen) Thomas; grandson James Edward Thomas all of Hudson, and brothers James (Rochelle) of Cuyahoga Falls, George, Jr. of Saratoga, CA and Gerald Thomas of Sacramento, CA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Thursday 7 to 9 PM and Friday 6 to 8 PM. Rev. Sue Roseman will conduct service Friday 8 PM at the Funeral Home. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation (www.ccfa.org).
