John Ventura

Obituary of John J. Ventura

STOW - John J. Ventura passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 31, 2017.

John was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, spent the last 40 years of his life as a Stow resident and was a U.S. Marine Corps reservist.

John is preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances (Iacono) Ventura and his in-laws Frank and Vivian Embrescia. John is survived by the love of his life for over 46 years, his wife Jo Ventura; his two sons, John (Nikki) Ventura and Tony (Lisa) Ventura; his three grandchildren Jay, Mason and Khloe; his two brothers, Jim (Kathy) Ventura and Mike (Debbie) Ventura; he was a brother-in-law to Jim (Pat) Embrescia, Ross (Karen) Embrescia, Connie (Rick) Chrosniak and Nancy Sanate (John-deceased); and many nieces and nephews.

John will forever be remembered for his undying love for the Cleveland Browns, as Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM was the highlight of his week.  John also enjoyed watching the Cavs and Indians and always made a point to call someone within the family to discuss each game. John loved spending time with his family and attending car shows.  John was very proud of his Corvette and spent many days and evenings “cruising” around. John was loved by so many people because of his quiet and peaceful demeanor.  John was a patient man who made every single person he came in contact with feel like they were the most important person in his life.  Above all, John was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.  The love he had for his family will live within all of us forever.  Heaven has gained a very special angel who will watch over us all for all our days on earth.
