Obituary of Donald L. Stillwell
STREETSBORO – Don passed away on October 2, 2017 in his sleep only four days short of his 77th birthday.
Don was the owner and operator of Stillwell Equipment and United Foundations Company that he founded in 1974. He started into business with simply a dream and a shoestring budget. Through hard work and family support and involvement, it became a successful dream.
Don was a simple and humble man who grew up poor and knew the value of a dollar. His family was his most important asset and it was a point of pride with Don knowing he provided employment for all his children.
His companies were his hobbies, although he did occasionally enjoy fishing on Lake Erie and watching and supporting local stock car racing with his sons.
Don was a friend to many and his passing is leaving an empty hole in a lot of hearts.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Alta (Butler) Stillwell; sons, Ronald and Randy; brothers, Harold and Walter; and son-in-law, Mark Musgrave. Don is survived by his wife of 61 years, Loretta; daughters, Kimberly (Ron) Boyd, Toni Musgrave; son, Donald Jr. (Dayna) Stillwell; very special daughter-in-law, Terry Stillwell; brothers, Dwain (Barb) Stillwell, Russell (Peg) Taylor; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Rd., Stow for visitation Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 6 to 9 PM, and where Pastor Jim Case will conduct a memorial service Monday at 10 AM. Interment Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
