Obituary of Lawrence R. Carter

Lawrence Ray Carter, 68, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, passed away on October 3rd, 2017.
Lawrence was born in Akron, Ohio on December 29, 1948. He went to Stow-Munroe Falls High School where he played football and graduated in 1966. He attended Kent State University where he studied psychology and sociology. He worked as a talented mason for over 40 years. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed music, movies, reading, sports and had a love for cooking. He will be missed by family, friends and his faithful dog, Ben.
Lawrence was a loving father to, Lauren (Brian) Schwerdtfeger of Cuyahoga Falls; devoted grandfather to Wilson and Sophie Schwerdtfeger; brother to Kenneth (Cindy) Carter of Fairhope, Alabama and uncle to Hall and Neely Carter of Memphis, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his father Raymond Carter and mother Eileen Carter of Union City, Tennessee.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home in Stow, Ohio, where calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Road, #30 Twinsburg, Ohio 44087.
