Obituary of Richard B. Kneram
Richard B. (Dick) Kneram, 87, of Munroe Falls, Ohio, passed away on November 6, 2017.
Dick was born in Newcastle, Pennsylvania to the late Roy and Bertha (Thomas) Kneram on October 17, 1930.
He attended Harlansburg High School and graduated in May 1950. Dick served in the Army during the Korean War. After his discharge, he moved to Ohio raising his family there.
He worked as a relief man for Ford Motor Company for 30 years, enjoying many years of retirement doing what he liked best - hunting, fishing, and walking in the woods. He was an avid outdoorsman and used his knowledge of nature in his art. He was a creative craftsman and artist and sold his beautifully carved walking sticks in local shops and art shows.
Richard was a wonderful man who enjoyed making people laugh. He was always willing to help out family and friends in need. He took in many stray cats over the years and one of his greatest joys was feeding the wildlife in his backyard.
He is survived by his loving wife, Maryann (Mickie) of 66 years; his daughter, Carrol (David) York of Cuyahoga Falls; sons, Richard L. (Debra) Kneram of Doylestown, and Mark (Cheyrl) Kneram of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Julian Rose, Angela Morris, Joshua York, Ryan Kneram, Matthew Kneram, Adam Kneram, Judson York, Christopher Kneram, Jacob York; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service for the family was held at Twin Falls United Methodist Church with Rev. Van Fisher officiating. Memorial donations may be made in his honor to Happy Trails Farm Animal Sanctuary, 5623 Milford Road, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
