Obituary of Joanne V. Schwarz
Joanne Violet Schwarz, passed away peacefully at Grand Living (GrandLiving.care) in Copley, Ohio on Tuesday, December 26, 2017.
Joanne was born in Akron, Ohio on March 7, 1938. She graduated from Cuyahoga Falls High School in 1956.
Joanne was a devoted follower of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The family takes great comfort in God’s promises of resurrection and eternal life in heaven with Him. We rejoice that we will see Joanne again someday.
Joanne was a good wife, and a devoted mother and grandmother. She was a member of The Chapel and enjoyed singing in their choir. She enjoyed working and was an owner of the Good News Christian Bookstore and later was a manager of the Berean Bookstore at Rolling Acres Mall. She was a life-long, fervent fan of the Cleveland Indians and her favorite player was Omar Vizquel. She was a good friend and pleasant companion. We will all miss her very much.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Trefon and Pricilla Sagedencky; and her husband, John G. Schwarz, Jr., and her sister Margie Kaptain.
She is survived by her brother Walter Eugene (Anne) Sage, sister Dorlene DiPaolo, son, Timothy (Katt) Schwarz; daughter, Deborah (Roger) Emerson her grandchildren, Jonathan, Andrew (Ashley) Emerson, Beth (Nick) Nussen; Hilary (Ryan) Redman, and Joseph Schwarz, and great grandchild Jason Atticus Nussen.
The family would like to thank the staff at Grand Living, and also the staff of Great Lakes Hospice, Akron, for the superlative, personal care they gave Joanne in her last months.
Calling hours will be from 4 pm to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 3rd, at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, OH, 44224, where the funeral services will also be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 4th.

John 11:25-25; Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
