Obituary of Rebecca Ann Starcher
Rebecca A Starcher, 75 joined her husband in Jesus’s loving arms on January 23, 2018 after a long, courageous battle with COPD.
Born in Akron, she was a lifelong resident of Ohio. She was joined in matrimony to Glen Starcher and together they made their life raising their family in Stow. Becky loved family get-togethers, gardening, crafting and had a special love of dogs.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Glen Starcher; mother, Ruth Swindell-Lamphier; step-father, Ealon Lamphier; sisters, Virginia Robison, Betty Norton-Humphrey, and Genevieve Southard; brothers, Jimmy, Edward and William Swindell.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Regina (Terry) Platt, Ginger Starcher and Carolyn (Mike) Kirby; grandchildren, Danielle Minkel Jones, Samantha (Matt) Minkel Wilhelm, Crystal Setree, Jake Platt, Theresa Platt Hawkins, Glen (Kelsey) Starcher and Gary (Jesse) Starcher; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Hunter, Wyatt, Joslyn, Kennady, Hailey, Bryan, Sammuel, Renni, and Kyson; brother, Rick (Bev) Swindell; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Swindell and Bette Swindell and many nieces and nephews.
Thanks to nephew, Walter (Wava) Robison and Joe Robison who lovingly took her into their hearts and home as her disease progressed showing her on a daily basis the love of God and family.
With her lifelong love of dogs, she is leaving behind a very spoiled Ruby Lee.
A special thanks to Direction Home and Akron General Hospice for their loving care of Becky.
Cremation has taken place after a private family service. Should friends and family desire, donations may be made in her memory to Pawsibilities of Twinsburg or any church of your choosing.
A celebration of her life will take place at Stow Alliance Fellowship Seasons Room Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 1-4 pm. Friends and family are welcome to help us honor Becky.
