Obituary of Felisa A Carson

Felisa Alvarado Carson, “Fely”, 77 years old of Tallmadge, Ohio passed away on January 24, 2018 at VNS Hospice in Copley, Ohio.

Felisa was born in the Philippines to Catalina Estrada and Marcelo Alvarado on September 8, 1940. She went to college in the Philippines and earned an Associate Degree in Business Administration. She left the Philippines to work for the U.S. Embassy in Iran where she met Richard L. Carson and shortly after married him in Tehran and resided there together for three years until they were forced to flee to the U.S. in 1979. She then focused on family life and began working as a seamstress for Forest MFG.

She loved meeting new people and traveling. Her patience for all was only exceeded by her kindness to anyone she met. She was an exceptional cook and enjoyed gardening, designing floral arrangements along with being a social butterfly. Felisa was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, a devout Catholic, and parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church along with being a true humanitarian, consistently volunteering and donating to help others in need.  She was an exceptionally caring mother and grandmother and embodied the meaning of True Love for her husband, Richard L. Carson.

She is survived by her son, Rick Carson and grandson, Issac Carson, along with her older sister, Maring, whom resides in the Philippines. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard L Carson.

Friends are invited on Saturday, February 3, 2018 to Redmon Funeral Home for calling hours from 10 to 11:30 AM, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Cuyahoga Falls, at 12 Noon.
