Obituary of Carl Riccillo Carano
STOW – Carl Riccillo Carano, 88, passed away peacefully January 29, 2018.
Born in Carovilli, Italy, Carl was a veteran of the Italian Army, a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and was a past president of the Carovillese Society. Formerly employed with Ford Motor Co., he had been the owner/operator of the Blossom Drive-Thru. Carl enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, making wine, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Preceded in death by parents Mario and Maddalena Riccillo, brother Ennio Riccillo, he is survived by his wife of 61 years, Laura; children Joanne (Ron) Otto, Vincent (Karen) Carano and Carla (Michael) Feltovich; grandchildren, Kyle (Touby) Otto, Cory Otto, Taylor Carano, Lina Feltovich and Dylan Feltovich; great-grandchild, Ariya Otto; sister, Velia (Gino) Finelli; sister-in-law, Cesira Riccillo, and many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Friday 5 to 8 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial Saturday 11 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron 44310, Fr. Edward A. Burba celebrant. PLEASE MEET AND FORM PROCESSION AT THE CHURCH. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery. The family requests donations to the church.
