Obituary of Julie C. Ferrato
Julie C. Ferrato was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother. After a long battle with Huntington’s disease, she passed away March 4, 2018 in Wadsworth.
She was born October 23, 1957 in Stow and graduated from Stow High School. She then continued with a B.S. in Chemistry from Kent State University and was employed as a chemist for several years. Julie was always thinking of others, had a great sense of humor, and always wanted to make others smile. Julie was caring, intelligent, and hardworking.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Warren Thomas and Merl (Heisler) Berghoff; brother, Thomas Thomas; and stepbrother, Jim Berghoff. Surviving are her daughters, Laurie (Daniel Burchett) and Kristi Ferrato; grandson, Victor Burchett; brother, Richard “Dick” (Jeanne) Thomas; sister, Susan Geisler (James Moculski); stepbrothers, Jeff and Ron Berghoff; and her extended Ferrato family.
In lieu of flowers, friends and family can donate to Julie’s Online Memorial at the Huntington’s Disease Foundation website. Deacon Robert Youngblood will officiate service at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow on Friday, March 9 at 12 Noon, and where friends may call from 10 AM until service time.
