Obituary of Virginia B. Sabatini

Virginia Sabatini, "Ginny", 97, passed away on March 2, 2018.

Virginia was born July 5, 1920 to Clyde and Bessie Leonard Lindsey in Osco Township, IL. She had two brothers, Leonard Lindsey (deceased), Clyde Lindsey Jr. (Isabel) of Tallmadge, and sister, Frances Willis (deceased).

Virginia graduated from Central High School in Akron. She was employed at Polksy's Department Store in customer service where she met her husband to be, Robert Sabatini, when he cashed his paycheck. Robert and Virginia were married on May 16, 1942. They had three children, Sandra Morris (Russel, deceased) of Eureka, MO, Michael Sabatini (Karen) of Tallmadge, and Becky Lappin (Harley) of Naples, FL.

Virginia worked from age 62 until age 82 at Lappin's Farm Market and Greenhouse, where she was lovingly known as "The Flower Lady". She has been a member of Stow Presbyterian Church since 1960. Virginia lived in Akron, Stow, and Tallmadge throughout her many years.

She is also survived by grandchildren Andy Morris (Heather), Alex Morris (Prudence), Julie McDonnell (Steve), Leissa Cline, Jason Sabatini (Amy), Nick Lappin (Sharon), and Michelle Lappin; great-grandchildren Nate, Natalie, and Noelle Morris, Ellianna and Rebekah Morris, Madeline and Michael Sabatini, Jonah Cline, Emily and Ethan Gruber, and Sofie, Leo, and Max Lappin.

Per Virginia's wishes, private services will be held at Redmon Funeral Home, with burial at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 3358 Ridgewood Road, Akron 44333 or the Humane Society of Summit County, 7996 Darrow Road, Suite 30, Twinsburg, 44087.

The highlight of Virginia's life was her loving family and their well-being!! She will be sadly missed by all.
