Obituary of Mary G. Tosko
CUYAHOGA FALLS - Mary G. Tosko, 83, died on April 16, 2018. Mary was born in Big Spring, TN to Emmett L. and Tennie Mae (Grubb) Clementson.
Mary retired from the Summit County Health Department and worked as a dispatcher for the Northampton Twp., Stow, and Cuyahoga Falls Police and Fire Departments. She was a member of the Steels Corners Community Church. The family has lived in Northampton Twp. and Cuyahoga Falls for 55 years. In her retirement, Mary extensively catalogued her and George's family genealogy. She published several books on the topic which brought our ancestors to life. Her work will live forever in Ancestry.com.
Mary, Mom, Grandma will be remembered as a loving, caring and giving person, the rock of her family. Her influence will be felt for generations. Her home was a welcoming place for friends, neighbors, family and especially children. She will be dearly missed but always remembered.
She is preceded in death by her husband George and her brothers, Emmett Jr. and George Clementson. She is survived by her children, Michael (Beth), John (Julie), Suzanne Hamrick and Paul; her sisters, Caroline Clementson, Sue Znidarsic and Jo Ann Noonan and brothers Perry and Mack Clementson. She is also survived by ten grandchildren: Jessica (Scott Ervin), Cassandra (James Merrow), Marshall, Mary Katherine (Allen Aycock), Alex, Randall, Amanda, Anna and Sarah and Emilee Hamrick. She is survived by five great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Asher and Marsden Pace, Elinor Nielsen and Elias Aycock.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mary's caregivers, Wendy Filler, Gaby Jimenez and especially daughter Suzanne, as well as all the caregivers from Crossroads Hospice.
Visitation will be at Redmon Funeral Home, 3633 Darrow Road, Stow, Wednesday, April 18 from 4 to 7 PM, and where Pastor Shaun McNea will conduct service Thursday at 10 AM. Burial is at Northampton Cemetery on Bath Road in Cuyahoga Falls. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 3743 Boettler Oaks Dr., Suite E, Uniontown, OH 44685.
