Obituary of Bradley Arle Bachtell
CUYAHOGA FALLS - Bradley Arle Bachtell, 78, died April 25, 2018.
Born in Akron, he was a lifelong resident of Cuyahoga Falls, a 1957 graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School, and a United States Navy veteran, stationed at The Philadelphia Naval Hospital in PA.
Brad started his career working for a local grocery store where he met his wife. He then moved on to Pepsi-Cola Bottlers of Akron, working for several decades and finishing his career there as the Sales and Marketing Manager. Brad then worked for Coca-Cola Company of Richmond, Virginia as a consultant. After leaving the beverage industry, he went into semi-retirement working for the City of Cuyahoga Falls at Brookledge Golf Course, a job he loved, and where he met many new friends. Brad enjoyed boating, youth baseball, and golf.
Preceded in death by his wife Alice (Ingersoll), his parents Arle and Lillian (Lea) Bachtell, and his step-mother Hanna, he is survived by his son Paul of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter Catherine (Tim) Uzl of Akron; grandchildren Lillian, Luke, Louis, and Lila Uzl; sister Brenda Holcomb of LaGrange; step-brother Eugene "Rick" Hoskins of New Orleans; sister-in-law Margaret Boehn of Barberton; brothers-in-law William D. (Shirley) Ingersoll of Cuyahoga Falls and John (Kathy) Ingersoll of Northfield; friend Mae Dean Nickison; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday 6:30 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4:30 PM until service time. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association or the Wyoga Lake Veterinary Hospital.
