Obituary of Sylvia Jean Roberts

CUYAHOGA FALLS - Sylvia Jean Roberts, 64, died peacefully May 17, 2018. She was born on August 4th, 1953 in Barberton, Ohio. Sylvia was a long time resident of Stow, before recently moving to Cuyahoga Falls to be closer to her grandchildren.

She had been employed with Firestone Bank, Bank One, and retired in November 2016 from Allstate Insurance. Sylvia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading Danielle Steel novels and celebrating her anniversary with Steve in Cancun each year.

Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Rose Lecon, sister Susanne Bartel, sister-in-law Sally Lecon and mother and father in-law Patricia and Benjamin Roberts, she is survived by her husband of 39 years Steve; daughter Kara Mayner (Craig); son Bryan (fiance Lori); grandchildren Kayla, Kiley and Keagan; sisters Monica Warren (Dale) and Sarah Lecon; brothers Dan Lecon, David Lecon (Jane) and Frank Lecon (Diana), and brother in-law Bob Bartel. Sylvia is also survived by sisters-in-law Deborah Mattison (Jerry), Carey Rich (Vince), Cathy Walsh (John) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends are invited to the Redmon Funeral Home for visitation Sunday, May 20th, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 PM. Mass of the Christian Burial will be conducted on Monday May 21, at 9:30 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 1905 Portage Trail in Cuyahoga Falls, Father James Singler celebrant. Interment at Silver Springs Cemetery.
