Obituary of Lawrence E. Inks

Lawrence E. Inks, Jr., 70, went home to his Heavenly Father on June 12, 2018.

Born in Akron, he was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School.  Larry graduated from the University of Akron, attended Prairie Bible Institute, Akron Bible Institute, and Arizona Bible College.  He spent over 26 years at Akron Christian Schools, where he taught 7th and 8th grade, high school biology and chemistry.  He retired at Akron Christian Schools as the principal. He enjoyed and loved making a difference in the lives of many students, parents and teachers; to what he explained was the Lord's calling for his life.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Ann in May of this year; his parents, Isabel (White) Clemenson and Lawrence Inks; step-father, Quentin "Bud" Clemenson; and three siblings, Linda, Gary and Cheryl. He will be sadly missed by his son and daughter-in-law Chip and Amy Inks, his granddaughters Abby and Alexa; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barry and Eileen Shahan, David and Donna Shahan, and their children. There are also many family cousins on his mother's side. Larry was as devoted to Ann as she was to him. Larry loved his Lord Jesus Christ and His Word.  He was often heard telling his friends at Middlebury Chapel and Altercare of Western Reserve; where he spent his last 2 years, "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it".  Psalm 118:24

 A memorial service is planned for Monday, July 2 at 11:00 at Middlebury Chapel for both Larry and Ann with visitation one hour prior to the service.  Private family burial at Greenlawn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Middlebury Chapel, 82 S. Arlington Street, Akron, Ohio 44306.
