The experience of loss hits everyone differently depending on what your relationship to the person was. For those who lost a parent or child: the parent-child bond is perhaps the most fundamental of all human ties. You will never get over it, but you will learn to live with it as time heals. A parent should never have to bury his/her child and a child should never have to bury his/her parent too early - but if it happens, finding the mannerisms and traits that you can see of that person in someone else ----This should help bring peace. For those who lost a sibling: your sibling was the best gift your parents ever gave you. You will feel like you have lost a limb, but you will never lose the memories of your childhood. For those who lost an Aunt: you will miss how your Aunt gives hugs (and pinches cheeks) like a mother&keeps secrets like a sister. But, giving hugs and pinching cheeks to your own nieces and nephews will be a way to keep your Aunt's memory alive. For those who lost a friend: the loss will be impossible to forget because good friends are hard to find. However, being a really good friend to other friends you have will help you heal. No matter what Dawn was to you, she will be forever missed&never forgotten. My mother told me that a nun told her during a time of loss that God accepts people into the Kingdom when a person reaches their most perfect state of being on earth, thus when they have fulfilled their purpose. This means that when a person dies, that they have reached their most perfect state of being. Dawn fulfilled her purpose&reached her most perfect state & is now watching over us from heaven. I pray that you all can find peace and have the strength to endure during this difficult time.

I met Dawn the night of the Ox Roast in Mantua when my daughter Lydia was hit be a drunk driver while she was directing traffic at 1130 at night. Dawn stayed at the hospital with us till about 9am. Dawn had a hand in saving Lydia's life. Carla and I have grown to love her and pray for her constantly. I thank God for Dawn and her sacrifice overseas and home. She will be greatly missed.

I am the Mother of Lydia Hart Madill who posted earlier.
Dawn had the difficult job of bringing the message of her accident to my husband and me at 1:30 in the morning. She so gently explained what happened and did her best to prepare us for the worst. She led the way to the hospital, navigated us through staff and hallways until we found Lydia. Her tender heart was evident as she stayed by our sides until we knew Lydia would be alright. She has had a special place in my heart.
I know Dawn knew the Lord, and we will hug her again.
I pray you find comfort in knowing she is at rest and that you will hug her again.

I met Dawn While working for United National Security out of Canton. She had a part in saving my life July 21, 2006 after I had been hit by a drunk driver while directing traffic. We have not been in contact much since we left UNS. But If it weren't for the medical knowledge of Dawn and Dave Hardesty, I don't know if I would be here today. She was like a sister to me and will always hold a place in my heart. Hugs and prayers for you all as you mourn the loss of such a blessing. Love you!
Lydia

I’ve lost my best friend. Heartbroken. She had a heart as big as all outdoors and was extremely giving. She was an AMAZING WONDERFUL person. I feel blessed to have had her in my life for the past 8 years. I loved her dearly. I believe she’s watching us in heaven. Gone FAR too soon. RIP

To my sister Dawn,
I know you are in heaven and in our hearts, but just know that I'm going to be here on Earth checking in on the boys and your grand baby. I know I can't be there like you were, but I hope that they find comfort in knowing I'm here for them if they need me. We will always keep your memory alive...
Love always, your big sis, Kim
