Obituary of Gerald "Jerry" Raymond Dobson
Gerald Raymond “Jerry” Dobson, 49, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on September 6th, 2018 in Akron, while surrounded by loved ones.
Jerry was born in Akron, OH on August 28, 1969. He went to high school at Mogadore and Maplewood Joint Vocational School, and earned an Associate's Degree from National Institute of Technology. He worked many construction jobs after his service in the Navy, but last worked as a truck driver for Graves Lumber for five years. He enjoyed hiking, kayaking, all superhero movies, being outdoors with his dogs, and traveling, but most of all spending time with his daughters, grandbabies, and fiancé.
Jerry was proof to never give up on anyone, as he always kept going and succeeding, no matter his odds.
Jerry is survived by his fiancé Tammy Roethel of Stow; parents Bob and Caren Cole; daughters Catelyn Wienclaw (Andrew), Abbi Dobson (Denon), and Hannah Dobson; grandchildren Scarlett, Delaney, Annabelle and Reid; siblings David Dobson (Roxanna), Tracie Dobson, Jim Cole (Ashley), and Jamie Piunno (Gina), but loved by many more family and friends.
Rev. Richard Serbin will officiate at the funeral service on Monday, September 10th at 11 AM at Redmon Funeral Home, where the viewing times will be SUNDAY, September 9th from 5 to 8 PM and Monday from 10 AM until service time.
