Obituary of Benton J. Everett

Benton J. Everett, 86, died September 29, 2018.

Born in Loudon Twp. in Carroll County, OH, in 1932, Ben pursued an education in electronics. He spent many years working and travelling the world as an electrical engineer and salesman for Sony and other high-tech companies. Retiring in 1999 allowed him to enjoy travelling in his RV, Internet research, walking his dog Spike, cooking, and most of all, taking care of his wife, Linda. Ben was a proud American veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, and had been a past member of the American Legion, VFW and the Iowa City Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emory and Orlou Everett; brothers Quintin and Floyd Everett; and his favorite dog, Spike. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Linda (Quinn); daughters Pamela Holub (Gary), Barby Sizemore; step-sons Stephen Nolf (Amanda), Joseph Nolf (Marissa Zilch); grandchildren Jennifer Holub (Mathew Haines), Lawrence Holub (Maureen), Holly Trull (Brandon), Melanie Waddell, Joshua Higgins (Lisa); great-grandchildren Aaliyah, Lars and Luke Holub; Chole and Zachary Trull, Madyson Zimmer, Jared Wilson, Aryn and Phoenix Higgins.

Dr. Robert Harper will conduct a service Friday 7 PM at Redmon Funeral Home, where friends may call from 5 PM until service time, and at graveside on Saturday. Burial Saturday 12 noon at Fernwood Cemetery in Lockbourne, OH with military honors provided by the United States Air Force.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Summa Hospice and Palliative Care Inpatient Unit at Summa Akron City Hospital, 525 E. Market Street, Akron, Ohio 44304.
