I like to express my condolences to the friends and family. Loosing someone we love is never easy. Sometimes our close friends and family don’t even understand our pain. Fortunately we have a loving God who does and knows exactly what we need. Turn to HIM in prayer. He is the God of all comfort and wants to help you through this. 2 Corinthians 1:3.4 that says praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God. I hope this is a source of comfort for you.

Dear Bob and family, We are so sorry for your loss. Mary was such a beautiful person. Her love for her family and friends and her Lord were first and foremost. She was a wonderful neighbor. I remember as a young mother how Mary would share how to cook economically and sew for my family. Her instructions on cooking made my meals taste like they came from a five-star restaurant. She always gave me tips on how to make my sewing projects to look professional. Years later she was in a Bible study with us. Her knowledge of the Scriptures blew me away. She would share her story of how she came to know Jesus as Savior. She was never hesitant to share Jesus. Mary, you will be deeply missed by your family and friends. No one will be able to fill that void. One day we will see you again in heaven and praising our Savior together. Love you always.

I want to send prayers to all family and friends of Mary. Bob and Mary are a amazing story. They have shown the world how to enjoy a soulmate from God. It was a pleasure to know Mary. She could always light up a room with her smile. R.I.H. Mary. You will be missed by so many.

My heart and prayers go to the family and friends of this dear woman. I remember her well from the Castle Homes years. I grew up with Debbie and Terry and spent many hours At their house in Woodridge St.. I remember Mrs. McLain as a woman that devoted herself to her family and home. I pray that God brings comfort to those that remain and mourn her loss.

In the fall of 1980, pregnant and a few weeks away from delivering my 3rd child... I met Terry... pregnant with her 2nd child in the parking lot of church! Terry and I went on to deliver our children... Drew (me) and Christina (Terry). Our initial meet ups centered around mothering our infants together. Our 1st Christmas in Ohio... we met the entire clan, all the McClains... at Terry’s house! Since that day forward... through heart ache and laughter... our families have been entwined! Married ... forever... children .., all of whom were initially united because of Bob and Mary’s acceptance of me and my family!! We have not always lived “happily ever after.” Like all families we’ve experienced ups and downs, but Mary was a harbinger of love and acceptance! Your light did not burn dimly... Mary! You are not a candle gone out with the wind!! We will all look forward to seeing you on the other side ... and until then, our hearts are full of your remembrance.
