Obituary of Robert J. Hoffman

Robert Julius Hoffman, 86, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2018, with his beloved wife at his side.

Bob was born in Richmond, Indiana on May 5, 1932, graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1950, and joined the Navy, where he became an Aircraft Engine Mechanic, learning skills that became a lifetime passion. Bob married Eileen Switzer and with their children, moved to Bath, Ohio, where he resided for 64 years. He was employed with Roadway Express for 35 years. In 2001, Bob crossed paths with his High School Sweetheart, Dottie, whom he married in 2001, enjoying the past 17 years together.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Eileen, brother William and sister-in-law, Marilyn, he is survived by his wife Dorothy, children Daniel (Kim) and Holly Hoffman, step-children James Dolan and Cheryl Harp (Dave Farkas), their children and grandchildren and brothers Donald and Philip (Laura) Hoffman.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday November 7, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Eugene's Catholic Church, 1821 Munroe Falls Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, Father Peter Colletti Celebrant. Military services and burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, in Seville, Ohio, Thursday 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1815 W. Market Street, Suite 108, Akron, OH 44313, in his memory.
